Jessica Drinkwater

Jessica is a General Practitioner in Bradford and a Clinical Lecturer at the Centre for Primary Care and Health Services Research, funded by the NIHR. Her research focuses on partnerships between stakeholders—including patients, communities, and staff—to improve primary care services and reduce health inequalities. She specialises in participatory research approaches and creative methods, recently leading the co-production of an applied theatre workshop for patients and staff to reflect on collaborative decision-making in general practice.

Jessica’s current projects include GROW, which explores how Deep End GPs work with community groups, and a study on pressure ulcer prevention at home with patients and carers. Her PhD used participatory methods to enhance patient and public involvement in general practice, working with stakeholders to develop interventions that strengthen their role in shaping local healthcare decisions.
