James is a general dentist and health economist researching topics related to health financing, dentistry, and global health. He is currently undertaking a Welcome Trust/NIHR School for Primary Care Research funded Doctoral Research Fellowship, investigating the effect of financial incentives on access and quality of NHS dental care in the UK.
