Bingqing Guo

Bingqing is a quantitative researcher, working as a Research Fellow in the Health Organisation, Policy, and Economics (HOPE) research group at The University of Manchester. Holding a PhD in Health Economics and Policy from The University of Hong Kong, her research focuses on two key areas: (1) Policy evaluations: Leveraging econometric and causal inference techniques to assess the effects of social and health financing policies on health and well-being. (2) Financial Protection in Health: Advancing methodologies for monitoring global financial protection. Her research spans the UK and Asian countries, including China and Cambodia, with publications in leading journals such as Health Policy and Planning, BMJ Global Health, and Health Systems & Reform. During her doctoral studies, Bingqing worked as a short-term consultant at the World Health Organization and the World Bank, conducting data analysis and leading research output writing.

Bingqing is also a member of the NIHR Policy Research Unit in Health and Social Care Systems and Commissioning (PRUComm).
