Beth Parkinson

Beth is a research fellow studying the role of adult community health services in preventing hospital admissions. She earned a first-class BA in Economics (2013) and an MSc with distinction (2015) from the University of Manchester. Her MSc dissertation examined how hospitals respond to price changes in A&E departments.

Beth joined the Manchester Centre for Health Economics as a Research Associate in 2015. In 2021, she completed a Welcome Trust-funded PhD in Health Economics, investigating the link between primary care quality and avoidable emergency care use.
